BS5837 Tree Reports

BS 5837 Surveys are a planning requirement whenever trees may be impacted by proposed development, either directly or adjacent land.

The Local Planning Authority will expect a tree survey to be prepared by a qualified arboricultural consultant in accordance with BS5837:2012. Trees in Relation to Design, Demolition and Construction.

Callophrys Tree Consultancy will produce a tree constraints plan of the site and collect all information needed to prepare the required reports for planning in accordance with the BS 5837 requirements.

Callophrys Tree Consultancy regularly works with architects, landscape architects and developers to undertake onsite tree surveys for planning applications with a follow up formal report detailing the quality of trees, a tree constraints plan, an impact assessment of the proposed development in relation to the retained trees and a tree protection plan detailing the methodologies for working around the trees with the aim of protecting them throughout the process.

Where a proposed development involves working near any trees and the Local Planning Authority require site supervision, we are able to offer an Arboricultural supervision service throughout the key stages of the development to provide evidence of compliance with the specifications of BS5837:2012. Trees in Relation to Design, Demolition and Construction.
